I’m Laura, your quirky photographer. I’m a mum, wife and dog lover. Our family is based in Yate, South Gloucestershire.

I have shot hundreds of weddings, my first was in 2007! After gaining my Photography degree in 2008, I started my business.

Meeting new people and collaborating on creative projects together, is really special. My job is awesome and I have a lot of gratitude for that.

How I work 

The thing that makes me stand out is your experience on day. I try to make your shoot as easy and care-free as possible. I come to your shoot with enthusiasm and positivity to photograph your project in the best way possible. Natural light, bright and colourful imagery, not too posey, a fun and fuss-free photoshoot.

At Weddings, I am often mistaken for a guest or friend of the couple, as I seamlessly blend in. I want to get to know your favourite people, have a laugh, get goofy and photograph all the joy they have to offer.

I choose not to use a studio. For family & branding shoots, I love documenting the colour and soul of a place, so choosing an environment that reflects you is every bit as important.

It’s pretty bonkers in here, envision a kid’s colourful ball pit & you’re getting close. Some favorite things in the ‘Labyrinth of Me’ include:

  • Board Games (1975 edition MasterMind is my favourite)

  • Lego challenges

  • Mystery books (Current read: Thursday Murder Club)

  • Nostalgia for the time before tech (Circa. 1995 when I didn’t realise how good we had it!)

  • Baklava

  • So much Coffee

  • Staring up at trees wishing I was brave enough to still climb them

  • Unconsciously gravitating to my neurospicy compadres

  • If you haven’t guessed already, I’m a nerd & chosen Hufflepuff.

It’s funny how fast things change

In 2015 we welcomed our son Archer. It feels like since becoming a parent, I’ve been thrust into some obscure time portal, blink and you’ve jumped years.

That’s why for me, taking pictures is more important than ever. We aren’t on this planet for very long, so making the most of it and documenting the safari of our lives, gives me that spark.
