ELMORE COURT

Elmore Court,
Gloucestershire GL2 3NT

A beautifully restored country manor house with unique and sustainable reception space. Giving “Downton meets Glastonbury” vibes, Elmore Court is a wedding venue that feels truly special. I first photographed here over 10 years ago and have since shared many incredible wedding experiences with families celebrating in this unique space.

Every visit reveals something new and intriguing, allowing me to create photography that feels authentic and personal to each couple. As an Elmore Court wedding photographer and trusted supplier, I’m always excited to work with adventurous couples who want their wedding day to feel relaxed, creative, and full of freedom.

An unusual and sustainable wedding venue

This Grade II listed Elizabethan manor has been a family home to the Guise’s for hundreds of years. Now, Elmore Court focuses on eco-friendly projects and wedding events, celebrating people and nature in the heart of Gloucestershire.

A curious and fascinating detail about the Gillyflower: buildings made from rammed earth absorb light in a very soft way. Instead of bouncing harsh reflections, the walls drink in the light. This subtle behaviour is why the room photographs so beautifully and feels so warmly atmospheric.

outdoor Locations

Evolving beautifully throughout the year, the grounds offer something special in every season. Photographers can embrace these natural shifts to create a set of images that feels completely unique to each couple and their moment in time.

Beyond the Gillyflower

The front lawn changes beautifully with the seasons at Elmore. Delicate snowdrops appear in early spring, soft wisteria drapes the house by May, and Autumn brings rich purple leaves that adds warmth and depth to the grounds.

Beyond the Gillyflower, there’s a wonderful space for relaxed, candid photos. As the evening settles in after dinner, guests gather outside to soak up the atmosphere. The fire pit casts a warm glow for blue hour photos.

The gardens

The gardens themselves are wonderful to explore. Manicured lawns, fresh produce growing in the greenhouse, and magnificent trees that create beautiful spaces for family portraits. Every corner feels considered, yet completely natural.

Unique Indoor Locations

There are endless rooms with bold colours throughout the gorgeous Georgian house. If you would like to put some time aside to explore the rooms for portraits, I'm all in!

Elmore Court’s main house is filled with vibrant rooms, each one rich in colour and full of quirky period features. There’s endless potential for stunning photography, with so many interesting spaces to explore throughout the house. If you happen to be blessed with rain on your wedding day, embracing everything the main house has to offer is an absolute must.

The Gillyflower

The Gillyflower is unlike any reception space I’ve seen before. Built from the mud of the surrounding land, with natural wood and distinctive teardrop lighting, it feels completely connected to its surroundings. The result is a truly special and unique space for your reception; warm, atmospheric, and unforgettable.
