The Mount Without

A curious wedding venue in the heart of Bristol

A thoughtfully restored and curious community venue.

The Mount Without is most certainly a one-of-a-kind venue. Intriguing and enchanting, a must-see for any locals and visitors to the city.

At the events I’ve attended here, watching guests enter and turn their heads to the enormous ceiling in awe is quite touching. Seeing their faces light up at the solid bronze suspended infinity sculpture above. The piece is mesmerising.

This deconsecrated Gothic church has been restored after an extensive fire in 2016. Now standing as a private event hire and community space.

Although the church no longer has holy status, the venue can still give couples an ethereal sense of spirituality through its traditional stained-glass windows and aged grandeur.

Below the venue is the crypt with it’s low curved ceilings and dark, moody corners. This is the venue party space, which transforms with atmospheric uplighting and upbeat music sets. Providing an unforgettable environment for your evening reception and a vibrant change of pace for photographs.

At 900yrs old, this gorgeously alternative venue is so special. Bristolians in the art and community space are very blessed to have this venue on their doorstep.
